Letter to Santa

✎✉

Dear Santa,

Romance author Rachelle Vaughn here. I primarily work with your pal Cupid, but I like to think that you've got a nose for romance, too, considering you live happily ever after with Mrs. Claus and all.

My wish this Christmas is for more romance for everyone. More kisses under the mistletoe and more snuggles by the fire. More walks hand-in-hand, strolling down the lane, along the beach, and/or down the aisle. I'd like to see more kindness between couples and less breaking up. I want more butterfly kisses in winter and French kissing in the summertime. Young or old, everyone across the globe should have someone to share their secrets with and put their arms around when the going gets rough.

I don't know if you can fit all those things in that magic bag of yours, but if anyone can, it's you. You managed to make reindeer fly, so I believe you can do anything you put your jolly little mind to. Yep, you're definitely the man for the job. To sweeten the deal, I'm leaving your favorite cookies next to the tree, along with a mug of cocoa filled to the brim with marshmallows. (Don't mind the snoring calico cat, she won't bother you unless you mess with her food.)

Safe travels this Christmas Eve, Santa! Sliding down all those chimneys must really tucker you out, but don't forget to stuff the Missus' stocking before you take a well-deserved snooze. And don't forget to reward your elves with a nice long vacation for all their hard work! While you're at it, you might as well give them a raise.

Well, I'd better let you get back to work--you are a legend, after all. Happy holly, jolly, jingles and all that good stuff...

Your friend,
Rachelle
