Autumn Update

I know I haven’t posted anything in a while but that’s actually good news. It means that I’ve been locked away in my writing cave working tirelessly on my next book.

The hummingbirds have been keeping me (and my cat) busy as well. We have so many frequenting our new feeder that I have to fill it up at least once a week. We also have a resident blue jay and mockingbird and even a woodpecker who keeps trying to drill holes in the eaves of the house.

The weather here is as crazy as my fictional city of Red Valley. It was 94 degrees one day and raining with thundershowers two days later. Summer has a fierce grip on September and we’re just now finally getting a preview of fall. This is my favorite time of year. I love turning the air conditioner off, opening the windows and letting the cool morning breeze flow through the house.

I’ve missed being able to drink hot chocolate and snuggle under a warm blanket and watch hockey. My Sharks boys are spread out all over the league now, which I guess isn’t such a bad thing. Now it doesn’t matter which team is playing, I’m bound to have a favorite player there! With Clowe in New Jersey, Nabby in New York, Seto in Winnipeg and Heatley in Minnesota, I don’t know who to root for!

The start of a new hockey season is always exciting. It renews my inspiration and makes me work that much harder on the book I’m writing. If all goes well, I hope to have the next book in the “Razors Ice” series ready for release early in the New Year. I’ll share more details with you as I get further along.

Meanwhile, I’ll be taking advantage of the cooler weather and writing my little fingers to the bone. Talk to you soon!
